Description

The year, 2017, marked the 25th anniversary of our marriage, therefore Joyce and I decided to plan a renewal of our vows. This time it was not a honeymoon in Europe as it had been in 1992, but in Hawai’i with seven nights of timesharing stay in Honolulu, followed by a seven day cruise to the outer islands.

Whom better to introduce my readers to Hawaii than the King himself, staring in the morion picture, Blue Hawaii. We could hardly expect to have as much fun as Old ‘Elvis and his babes, but one thing is for certain, I would never leave Joan Blackman standing on the sidewalk to take off with those teeny-boppers.

In order to accomplish such an awesome cruise, who are we gonna call? No, not Ghostbusters, but our good friends at Norwegian Cruise Lines. Five times, they’ve carried us around the world and returned home safely five times, and we expect that number six will be just as great a cruise.

We’re going to experience all the sights of Hawaii, including Pearl Harbor, its many gardens, rainforests and waterfalls, such as Manoa Falls, seen to the right, topped off by a Friday night luau, before boarding the Spirit of America and continuing on to Maui, the “Big Island of Hawaii” and Kauai, where we’ll say something last said twenty-five years ago.

Were you to say “enough of gardens, rainforests and waterfalls,” then I would reply, “define enough...”
